Ingredients
- 1 c. whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/2 t. baking soda
- 3/4 t. salt
- 1/2 c. shredded coconut
- 1/2 c. oats
- 1/2 c. chopped almonds
- 1/2 c. dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. almond butter- I used hazlenut butter, which I know doens't make sense, but I was too annoyed with my handicapped shopping cart at Target to pay close enough attention to what I was purchasing
- 1/4 c. unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 t. coconut extract
- 2 T. agave
- 1/4 c. unsweetened almond milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8X8 pan with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, coconut, oats, almonds and chocolate chips.
- In a smaller bowl, mix remaining ingredients. Add wet mixture to dry and stir until combined.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until set and golden brown around edges.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
