I always drink a cup of green tea in the morning after breakfast. I came out of my first year of college with a slight caffiene addiction in the mornings, and coffee seems to mess with my skin. So Green Tea it is!
Green tea also has a ton of health benefits, most associated with the highly-antioxidant polyphenols found in the tea leaves. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells, lowers LDL cholesterol, fights infection, raises immunities, not to mention the caffiene giving a bump to your matabolism.
In conclusion, green tea is pretty much a super hero.
To experience this smoothie in all of its fruity, protien-y, superhero-y...ness, you will need:
1/2 c. Peaches, frozen or fresh
1/2 Banana
2 T sliced almonds (for added flavor, and protien to help hold you over until lunch time)
Drizzle of Agave
1/2 c. Green Tea
Handful of icecubes (optional)
Blend and enjoy!
